In sports news that hasn’t gotten quite as much play this week because of Laker shenanigans and injured Rangers comes the tale of two corny white basketball players from Florida and their student manager wrangler.
In case you missed it two Gator ballers, freshman Cody Larson and sophomore Erik Murphy got arrested Saturday night for breaking into a car.
And much like a 1980s tag team, the big dumb monsters wouldn’t be caught dead without their trusty and slightly brainier manager Joshua Adel. Originally the two players had gone into a bar and planned to rob an employee counting money but were asked to leave by bouncers. That’s when the fun began.
The two players got caught breaking into a car (in the same parking lot) and Manager Adel was keeping watch (poorly I might add). But what probably made Billy Donovan’s flattop flip most is the best part of the story – it comes with audio tape.
I submit to you when might be the most unintentionally funny recording in the history of basketball meeting the penal system.

What struck me most about all the recordings is the quality, which is better than the shit I downloaded off iTunes last week. And obviously none of these kids are pre law because they were too stupid to know that cops record everything you say when you’re in a squad car. Amateurs.
