ASU Makes New Deal With the Devil
We’re still a full four months away from football season but it’s never too early for Nike to remake one of college football’s traditionally great uniforms in their futuristic, tacky ass image. This year’s victim – the Arizona State Sun Devils.
The Sun Devils, likely jealous of Oregon’s flashy chrome plating and 487,000 uniform possibilities are allowing Nike not only to change their colors but also their helmet logo, which has stood since the late 1940s, when a former Disney artist, Bert Anthony, sketched the Sun Devil in the likeness of his jew hating boss, Walt Disney.
I’m pretty sure 90% of football fans find these uniform changes horrendous but Nike has so much pull that no one can call them on their shit. I’m just waiting for them to introduce glow in the dark or invisible uniforms.
What do you think of the Sun Devils’ new digs? Click ‘Made Me Think’ for good and ‘Pure Douchebaggery’ for the Nike designer who came up with them should be shot.
