After a week of fighting it appears that Kobe Bryant and the gay community could be making up as long as the Laker star is willing to take one for the team – the Lamba team of the Gay and Lesbian Basketball League in L.A.
The Lambdas (as I’m calling them now) told TMZ.com that they appreciate Kobe’s apology (although his statement wasn’t really an apology and he’s applealing his $100 K fine from the NBA) if he’d come watch them set fruity picks in their next game.
"We have seen Kobe's apology and hope that it's sincere. If he really wants to show us he means it he'll come to our next league game."
The Lambdas even said that if Kobe showed up they’d pay for his tickets (and probably give him a free bag of popcorn as long as he doesn’t mind a penis in it). I think Black Mamba should be a sport about this whole thing and go root the Lambas on. As Lamar Latrell knows black athletes and gay Lambdas are a match made in Heaven.
In fact maybe Kobe should go the extra mile and play a few games with these guys. He’s always mad at the Lakers for not playing hard. You know these guys will play hard…as long as they’re staring at his ass.
