Okay I touched on Donald Trump’s presidential run yesterday as a goof but polls today seem to indicate that he actually has a shot of winning the Republic nomination.
As the Trump (I’m a billionaire and if you vote for me you will be too) tour ratchets up he seems to be leapfrogging this list of terrible GOP candidates. And it’s not like America needs to “come to their senses.” In a three way race between Trump, Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann the Donald is the only one I’d trust to run the country. I’d rather have a ‘Jersey Shore’ character than any of the three but I’d definitely take Trump over the two gun wielding bimbos.
Maybe it’s a bit too early for all of this. Tim Pawlenty is still a bit of an unknown and the Republican favorite in the primary so we may soon see his ascendency but of course that’s what they said about Fred Thompson and most people still know him as the old DA from Law & Order. So officially welcome to the 2012 presidential race Donald and if Obama shows his birth certificate you have to take off that rug.
