Oscar De La Hoya: Remember putting buttons on your Levis jacket of your favorite bands.
There may be no one article of clothing that better serves as a symbol of the 80s than the blue jean jacket. And I did put buttons on mine but I don’t remember putting buttons of bands on mine. I was still a young tyke in the 80s so my musical interests hadn’t gotten much past Tone Loc and the Beach Boys. Needless to say I had a lot of 80s pop culture to catch up on in the last two decades to become to 80s-ologist I am now. I think I just had OHS buttons and buttons with corny phrases on them. How bout you?
P.S. – I don’t suggest De La Hoya gets too nostalgic about his past attire.
