In an NFL offseason that should be quiet because of the looming lockout Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth continues to bang the drum of stupidity loudly. The latest Haynesworth headline comes as the beefy d-lineman has refused a plea deal in his sexual harassment case.
Haynesworth was charged with sexual assault in February after an incident where he swiped a credit card down a waitresses’ cleavage. Prosecutors have offered a deal that would knock the charge down to simple assault for a guilty plea but Haynesworth is bristling at the idea that rubbing a plastic card on a lady’s tits is wrong.
In fact, he thinks the waitress just has it out for him because he likes white women.
The often troubled Haynesworth told investigators that “she is just upset I have a white girlfriend. I couldn’t tell you the last time I dated a black girl.”
He continued “she was trying to get with me. I don’t even like black girls.”
I’m a bit confused by these statements. How would the waitress know he had a white girlfriend? Was the white girlfriend there with him, because sexual harassing a waitress seems to be like an odd thing to do in front of your girlfriend, doesn’t it?
Oddly enough it’s not the first time Haynesworth has used the white girlfriend card. He also think that’s the reason Mike Shanahan benched him and the reason Verizon cut off his cable.
