Man dials 911 for beer

Out of beer?
It may be an emergency for some, but don't dial 911.
A Bridgeport, Connecticut man learned the hard way after ringing the emergency line three times Sunday, and asking paramedics who responded to his home if they could buy him beer.
Police charged Raymond Roberge, 65, with misuse of the emergency system.
The Connecticut Post reported the man has called 911 with false alarms about 80 times.

You know what? I think I actually have to back Mr. Roberge in this case. They know he has a propensity for calling 911 unnecessarily. He’s going to keep doing it.
It seems to me they should plan for this. They could set up some phone intercept where his calls go to a special line with a message that tells him to stop being such an asshole. Who cares if he has a legitimate emergency? He shouldn’t have cried wolf so many times.
I really should be a consultant.
