Eat Me and I'll Sue

America is fat. There’s no use in denying it. But instead of getting all self-conscious and apologetic some choose to embrace it, like Arizona’s Heart Attack Grill.

The Heart Attack Grill, which made headlines a couple of years ago when it unveiled its high fat menu, including the triple bypass burger, and its scantily clad waitresses in nurse uniforms. It’s the kind of marketing plan that makes you proud to be an out of breath American.

Much like our growing stomachs there should always be room for more fatty restaurants like this, right? Well, not if you ask the Heart Attack Grill, which is upset at seeing New York’s 2nd Ave Deli embark on a similar mission.

The Heart Attack Grill is suing the 2nd Ave Deli, saying that the deli stole its idea for a fatass sandwich when the deli debuted the Instant Heart Attack Sandwich before the grill could roll out its Triple Bypass Sandwich.

As a fat man I hate to see two wonderful, artery clogging restaurants fight over something so silly. Honestly, there are thousands of miles separating these two eateries. Why can’t they find it in their hearts to get along?

My hope is that the judge forces the two food stops to get together and brainstorm ideas for more fatty ideas. I also wouldn’t mind if he forced them to open a Heart Attack Grill in Odessa.
