Cracker considers becoming a Husker
Paulus leaves after two-day visit
By BRIAN CHRISTOPHERSON / Lincoln Journal Star
Greg Paulus, of Duke basketball fame, Friday concluded his two-day visit to the Nebraska campus as he looks for a place to play quarterback.
Paulus spent some of his first day here checking out Andersen Hall, UNL’s journalism college. Paulus has expressed an interest in broadcast journalism as a possible grad school option while he plays football.
The former Blue Devils’ point guard has been exploring the possibility of playing one year of quarterback at the college level — with Syracuse and Nebraska seeming to head his list of options. Paulus visited Syracuse at the beginning of this week.
When might a decision come? “Sooner than later, I think,” Joe Casamento, Paulus’ high school coach, told the Journal Star on Wednesday. “I don’t think it will go on more than two weeks.”
Sooner or later the Huskers are going to get one of these quarterbacks that noone else wants. They seemingly lost Robert Marve to Purdue but they still have a chance at landing a subpar point guard to be their backup quarterback. Oh well, at least we're staying relevant. Kind of like the Bills signing T.O. Any pub is good pub.
