It's official: Lions Club holds Guinness pancake record

Lubbock Lions Club on Tuesday unveiled its official Guinness World Record for the most pancakes served in an eight-hour period.
The new figure of 66,459 actually was only a portion of the pancakes served during the 13-hour festival on Feb. 21. Peggy White, president of Lubbock Lions Club, said the overall total exceeded 108,000.
The unveiling of the world record was during a luncheon at Koko Palace-Danny's Catering.
Glenn Patton, chairman, said, "I am very humbled that this club came together and did what they did for not just Lubbock, but for the community and the areawide towns for this region of our state of Texas.
"Normally, we raise $75,000 to $80,000 on the Pancake Festival - and we still have some money coming in - but today we have $97,545."
It's a slow day in the fake news world so give me a break. I bet with all the excitement from the alcohol act passing everyone got really drunk and they had to have all the pancakes for drunk food. Or it was all just an excuse to have a massive syrup chugging contest like in Super Troopers. Nothing? Well, I tried.
