Justice is blind...and sometimes stupid
Men jailed for stealing baby Jesus
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
SOMERSET, Ky. - A Christmas prank in a small Kentucky town has netted jail time for two young men who stole the baby Jesus.
Nicholas A. Brainard, who is 21, and 19-year-old David A. Gialdini were sentenced Monday to 45 days in jail and two years of probation.
Okay I'm not endorsing the theft of religious decorations. I have myself stolen several yard ornaments but I have drawn the line at robbing nativity scenese, probably because I had to stand in a live one at church as a kid. But how do those guys get a month and half in jail and MEANWHILE...
Mich. teen gets probation for burning man's groin

PONTIAC, Mich. -A teenager in suburban Detroit has apologized for lighting a man's pants on fire and causing a third-degree burn to the man's groin. Eighteen-year-old Tyler Quick spoke Tuesday before the judge sentenced him to probation. He pleaded guilty last month to assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder.
Police say Quick attended a party at the Ferndale home of a 51-year-old man, who passed out during the party.
The Detroit Free Press reports Quick told the judge he painted the man's face with makeup, then put a lit candle on the man's pants to help illuminate his work.
I get it. The kid just did it as a goof. Who hasn't messed with a drunk at a party but we ALL should draw the line at anything fire and crotch related. Freeze his underwear, gorilla mask him, whatever but don't burn his nuts. That should carry a madnatory jail sentence.
