Top 5

Serial Killer week continues on the Top 5 with the American Psycho

#3 - Ted Bundy
Bundy basically created a new kind of serial killer when he came on the scene in the late 70's. He was charismatic, charming and witty and easily won the trust of his victims. He truly was the American psycho. Although he started out very meticulous he eventually sprialed into a disorganized frenzy of killing in a Florida sorority house.

Bundy is a an interesting case because of how he was able to fein human emotions. Serial killers are sociopaths and cannot feel empathy but he must have studies human emotion so well that he could pretend. This allowed him to be a public citizen instead of a hermit. In fact, he worked with political leaders while he was a law student in Colorado and Utah.

What's maybe the most astounding thing about his case is that escaped from prison twice. He was like the John Dillinger of serial killers.
