Serial Killer week concludes on the Top 5 with the Murder Hotel.

#1 - H.H. Holmes

Who? You may not have ever heard of him but H.H. Holmes may be the most intriguing serial killer of all-time. He had the cunning of Bundy, the devious mind of Mengele and the business acumen of a Rockafeller.

Basically, H.H. Holmes built a hotel in Chicago near the time of the World's Fair. He basically filled his reservation list with single women and then started killing them off and collecting their insurance money. Aside from that he would reduce his victims' bodies to just bones and then sell them as skeletons to medical schools.

His hotel was a true house of horrors. All the doors locked from the outside, there were secret passage ways, unseen chambers and schutes and a medical lab with tools and a vat of acid. He fired contractors and foremen so often that noone could get a good idea of why he was building it. Noone knows exactly what went on in that hotel or how many people he killed. He also took his show on the road to Texas after Chicago but he didn't have a hotel.

He was a truly sick dude and he went to the University of Michigan so that's another reason for me to hate them.
