Miss North Carolina may have taken the title of Miss USA. But everyone seems to be talking about first runner-up Miss California, who raised eyebrows with her answer to judge Perez Hilton's question and sparked the ire of the self-proclaimed gossip queen.

Hilton asked Miss California's Carrie Prejean her thoughts on legalizing gay marriage during the Miss USA 2009 pageant, which aired live Sunday night on NBC.

"Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalize same-sex marriage," he said. "Do you think every state should follow suit, why or why not."

At first, Prejean seemed to trip over her words before giving an answer that drew a mixed reaction from the audience and a look of thinly veiled disgust from Hilton.



Let me start by saying that I am a proponent of gay marriage and equal treatment for all Americans. With that said Perez Hilton is a no talent assclown who made a name for himself by outing homosexuals who weren't ready to come out of the closet and now tries to keep that fame by saying outlandish shit about celebrities much the same way Sean Hannity and Glen Beck say outlandish things about politicians. But with less credability.

I can't begin to say how wrong the things Perez Hilton says are (its infuriating I have to call him that in the first place). Miss USA doesn't represent all Americans. She is a glorified model who has a set of beliefs and ideas garnered from her own experience. She doesn't have to travel the world on diplomacy missions. She goes to boat shows. Meanwhile, I think the president should try his hardest to represent all of America. While he may belong to a certain political party he should try to do whats best for the entire country. Miss USA just vaselines her teeth and visits sick kids. She doesn't have taper her thoughts to conform to what everyone wants.

It would have been one thing if she came out and blasted homosexuals as misguided, God-hating miscreants but last time I checked I think she just said she disagreed with same sex marriage. She's not Jerry Falwell or that crazy preacher from Kansas. She's just a ditzy model who hasn't exposed herself to a more liberal point of view. That's the biggest part of the problem with America. Noone is willing to understand why people believe the things they do. Most people are closer to the fence on gay marriage than they know. But things like this push them further away.

So to wrap this up. Thanks Perez for being a complete and total assbag!
