Neil Patrick Harris scorched stage policy.
The How I Met Your Mother thesp and former Doogie Howser was rehearsing his opening number at the TV Land Awards when a stunt set the star ablaze.
Harris who starred in the Joss Whedon internet hit Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-Long Blog was left shaken and more than a bit stirred when sparks from an electronic device on his tux ignited, setting his tux on fire!
According to a source, Harris did not require a trip to the ER nor did he make mention of it during taping of the TV star studded event which included Don Rickels and Seinfeld star Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
I'm glad Neil wasn't more hurt. First I would miss his role on 'How I Met Your Mother' and because it would be embarrasing as hell dying from an electronics explosion at the TV Land Awards. It's okay when Pepsi blows Michael Jackson up but when Nick at Nite catches you on fire there is a problem.
