This time last week, Cincinnati partisans were plying Brian Kelly with messages of their undying affection. Now that the most successful coach in Cincy history has officially scorned them for fame and fortune at Notre Dame, though, Bearcat fans were sending him a somewhat different message Saturday night:
Apparently UC players weren't the only ones upset at Kelly's exit; take heart, coach, that at least they're not burning you in effigy (yet). Meanwhile, those overly aggressive South Bend realtors would like to remind you that this sort of thing never happens in their town ...
Despite the fact that I'm pleased as punch that the fat little turd Brian Kelly had to spray the eggs off his siding Sunday morning, I'm a bit curious as to why Cincy fans are so upset with him. The Bearcats have certainly improved as a program since Mark Dantonio started to turn things around a few years back but Cincy is still, at its core, a basketball school. Tony Pike is never going to conjure memories quite like Kenyon Martin does. So maybe the false outrage over Kelly's move should stop and fans can start egging his house for the right reason - because he's a douchebag.
