What did I do to deserve this?
Terrell Owens to join Buffalo Bills
NEW YORK (Reuters) – Controversial wide receiver Terrell Owens agreed to a one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills worth $6.5 million Saturday, just two days after being released by the Dallas Cowboys.
The outspoken Owens, who has had run-ins with team mates on his three previous teams, caught 69 passes for 1,052 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, but the Cowboys were looking to improve the atmosphere in the locker room.
"I'm leaving America's team (for) North America's team," Owens told a news conference.
A six-times Pro Bowler, Owens has 139 career touchdown catches to rank second on the NFL's all-time list behind Jerry Rice, who had 197.
Owens, who played three seasons in Dallas, played with San Francisco and Philadelphia before joining the Cowboys, who were 9-7 and missed the playoffs last year.
The Bills ranked 25th in the NFL in yards gained last year.
My team, the Buffalo Bills, may now be the dumbest franchise in the league. Let's face it...the Bills have sucked for some time but at least there was a stich of dignity left. They weren't the Raiders or Redskins. They were the desperate girl at the club willling to sell their self respect down the river. Welcome T.O.
Ralph Wilson: I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.
