The new pride of El Paso
West Texas man rescued from dog food silo
Associated Press
EL PASO— El Paso firefighters today rescued a man trapped inside a dog food silo.
Fire officials told the El Paso Times that the 49-year-old maintenance man was working at the Valley Feed/Pet’s Barn silo this morning when he became trapped up to his shoulders in the dog food. El Paso fire officials said the man may have been trapped for as long as 30 minutes.
The man’s name was not released. He refused to be taken to a hospital. No other injuries were reported.
When I saw the headline I was concerned some dumb redneck from Odessa had done this, but then I found out its just El Paso. That's really more Eastern New Mexico than West Texas. I cede everything past Pecos to New Mexico.
