They're Playing Baseball!

I hope you all enjoyed last week's baseball breakdown and MLB 2010 predictions from Mr. Lil' Terry. I enjoyed having someone else do my work for me so much that I've decided to do it again. I've called in a favor from another baseball expert - legendary University Daily alum Matt Muench. He's the Richard Justice to my Tony Kornhesier. So without further adieu here's some more baseball.

NL West
1. Dodgers: No question here. They have the best lineup in baseball led by Manny, Kemp and Andre. Look for Billingsly and Kershaw to have big years on the mound.
2. Giants: Scary pitching rotation. Lincecum and Cain are overpowering and I think Zito will be back after a few off years.
3. Rockies: Helton is still alive and dangerous. Tulowitzki is the best player no one talks about. Deep rotation could be dangerous. But injuries always hurt the boys from Denver.
4. Diamondbacks: LaRoche and former Dodger product Edwin Jackson are nice additions. But Webb is banged up again and I think Haren falls off this year.
5. Padres: I like a lot of the young guys on this team. But they have no pitching threats.

NL Central
1. Cardinals: Albert Pujols. That’s all I have to say about that.
2. Brewers: I always loved the name of this franchise. Makes be want to booze.
3. Cubs: Wish they would win it all one year for the sake of Terry. This should be Pinella’s last year.
4. Astros: New manager won’t change much. This team actually could finish last.
5. Pirates: This is why the Astros won’t finish last. Pirates are awful and should get swept by the Dodgers opening weekend.

NL East
1. Phillies: Halladay was a great pickup. Should have kept Lee also. They are best team in NL and are scary good. I hate them,
2. Braves: Will give Phillies a battle for the pennant. Will Heyward be a bust or the next Pujols?
3. Mets: Injuries kill this team every year. If they stay healthy they could be dangerous.
4. Marlins: Fuck this franchise. No fan support. No support from management.
5. Nationals: Move back to Canada. No one likes you.

AL West
1. Angels: Will win division because this is a weak ass division.
2. A’s: I had this team winning the division last year. They failed. But look for them to be better in 2010.
3. Rangers: Overrated lineup with overrated fans.
4. Mariners: Lee was nice addition. But dumb move to get Milton Bradley.

AL Central
1. White Sox- Ozzie Guillen is the greatest personality in sports next to Charles Barkley.
2. Twins – Joe Mauer is the best player in the American League.
3. Tigers – Denton’s own Austin Jackson will win Rookie of the Year.
4. Royals – Only for Adam Klement I won’t pick them to finish last
5. Indians — What happened to this franchise? They need to get Willie Mays Hayes and Ricky Vaughn back.

AL East
1. Yankees – I hate this team so much. But they are so damn good. Money brings happiness.
2. Red Sox – I used to root for this team because I felt sorry for them. Now they are just like the Yankees. Still solid team and Beltre was great pickup.
3. Rays – Will contend for division only because pitching is pretty deep.
4. Blue Jays – Don’t really care.
5. Orioles – Don’t really care.

Well that certainly cleared some things up for me. Except I thought Milton Bradley was the guy that makes the board games. Just kidding. I know he's the guy who threw the chair.
