But pals say the 51-year-old country music legend is still holed up with his married sweetie - the pretty wife of a Texas dentist - and doesn't plan to move back home unless wife Libby Hatcher, 69, promises she won't file for divorce!

"After talking to his accountant, Randy's suddenly had a change of heart. He realizes Libby will clean him out if they split," a close pal told The ENQUIRER.

When the country legend realized he could lose $50 million if she divorces him, his fling began to lose its luster.

Man, 50 million clams is a lot of money to lose, especially for a singer who hasn't had a hit song in about 10 years. I'm not Randy Tarvis' accountant or anything but I doubt he can afford to lose that kind of money. He better figure out some sort of post-nup agreement.
