BYB Express (With College Football Preseason Top 25)

It's Friday again and you know what that means - it's time for the BYB Express. Don't think of it as getting less blog. Just think of it getting more time to craft your own Preseason Top 25 poll.

F My Life Moment of the Day
Today, my 13 year old daughter came up to me and called me Grandma. Offended, I told her I wasn't that old. She responded with, "Well, you're going to be one, so I thought you should get used to it." FML

COLLEGE FOOTBALL PRESEASON TOP 25 - #20 WEST VIRGINIA

#20 - West Virginia - The best news for West Virginia this season is the return of running back Noel Devine (1,465 yards rushing in 2009). Unfortunately the Mountaineers will once again have to replace their signal caller as Jarrett Brown has graduated. Geno Smith, a sophomore, will now be entrusted to run the offense, but with devine behind him and WR Jock Sanders as an explosive target, the sky is the limit.

West Virginia hasn't reached the same heights in the past two seasons as it did under former coach Rich Rodriguez but for being a house painter coach Bill Stewart has kept a pretty strong foundation on the WVU.

Defensively, the Mountaineers return nine starters and could have the best group in the Big East with defensive tackle Scooter Berry and linebacker J.T. Thomas. With an easy non-conference schedule the Mountaineers will have every opportunity to win the Big East and compete for a spot in the BCS. I certaintly wouldn't be surprised if they cracked the Top 10.

Porn streamed at Indonesian parliament
By QMI Agency

Fifteen minutes of hardcore porn were broadcast on an internal informational channel inside Indonesia's parliament Monday.

Journalists, politicians and staff members were shocked to see pornographic images and ads — including one for "young teens" — appear on a large monitor that typically displays information on the day's political schedule, reports the Jakarta Globe. The images were taken from an online adult site that is banned in nearby countries Singapore and Malaysia.

It took security 15 minutes to get the screens back to normal.

This comes just a week before Indonesia is scheduled to ban all pornographic sites, a move spearheaded by the country's information minister Tifatul Sembiring last month.

Some people say that the U.S. has the best government. I'm not sure but I do know its certainly not the coolest. The Biritish parliament is always yelling at each other (and not with their hand in front of their mouth like Joe Wilson) and those Asian parliaments are always getting in fist fights. I'm pretty sure we're losing out. When have our representatives ever just chilled out and watched 15 minutes of porn? It'd probably relax them a bit and its got to be productive than a filibuster. So, porn in congress? Now that's what I call progress!

COLLEGE FOOTBALL PRESEASON TOP 25 - #19 ARKANSAS

#19 Arkansas - You can expect the return of the hog call in 2010 as Coach Bobby Petrino has acclimated the Razorbacks to his spread attack and finally made a spread passer of lost Michigan soul Ryan Mallett. Mallett shined in 2009 with 3,500 + yards passing and 30 TDs through the air. This season expectations are even higher with the team's top three wide receivers (Greg Childs, Jairus Wright and Joe Adams)and talented RB Dennis Johnson. In fact, the Razorbacks return 18 starters as a whole in what will certainly be a "show me" year for Petrino.

Defensively, the focus will be on revamping a bend but rarely break defense that finished near the bottom of the SEC in yards given up but better in scoring defense. To improve the Hogs will have to be healthier and smarter in the defensive backfield.

Arkansas needs to win at Georgia Sept. 18 because a win against Bama the next week is almost impossible. A non-conference game in the middle of the season against Texas A&M isn't ideal but a win could propel the Hogs to a win against Auburn the following week. Then the Hogs could cake walk until the finale against LSU.
