Cash in adult diapers earns woman a week in jail

MONTREAL – A Quebec woman was released on bail in upstate New York after U.S. border guards found $212,000 hidden among adult diapers.
A judge in Plattsburgh, N.Y., freed Monique Storie, 61, on $100,000 bond Tuesday after she spent a week in prison on a charge of trafficking in cash.
U.S. border guards had stopped Storie on July 28 at the Overton Corners border crossing about 45 minutes south of Montreal. They searched her van and found the stacks of cash in a bag of diapers. More cash was also found in the rear of the van.
I've got to give this woman credit for thinking of a pretty creative hiding place for her stash of money. Of course if she really wanted to get off scott free she would have hired some old guy and stashed the money is his soiled adult diaper. While the ride wouldn't be too pleasant I'm pretty sure no border guards are going to check there.
