In publicity stunt, man lives on roof 4 days

RANDOLPH, Vt. — Hoping to raise awareness about child abuse, a Vermont businessman who's afraid of heights picked a novel way to do it — spending four days living on the roof of his business.
Jeremy Lesniak, owner of Vermont Computing, Inc. in Randolph, took to the rooftop Thursday, armed with a tent, a canopy and a portable toilet, his food and drinks paid for by community members. He had a live video chat stream, access to Facebook and Twitter and lots of support from friends and family.
By the time he called it quits at 6 p.m. Sunday, WCAX-TV reports, he had raised a lot — awareness, and about $4,000.
His first order of business after he got down? Going home for a shower.
I'm a bit confused by this story. First of all, if a guy owns a business does he really need members of the community to pay for his food and drinks? It's his fear, why should other people have to pay for him to "conquer it" anyway. Also, I'm pretty sure that roof has a lot of room. He probably doesn't even have to look over the edge. I think he should have to spend a week on a billboard. That might toughen him up. So here's a challenge to you Jeremy. Take that $4,000 in awareness that people gave you for no good reason, buy a billboard that says "if Jeremy Lesniak gets down before Sunday then he's a giant puss," and sit your ass on it for a week. Then I'll be impressed.
