We'd give up sex.. if team won

England fans are so desperate to see the national team win the World Cup that 12% say they would give up sex for a year if it happened.
And a third are so keen for a first win since 1966 they would do the housework for 12 months. Even a night of passion with Cheryl Cole would be turned down by 51%, if it meant winning the cup.
Even less chivalrously, 10% said they'd happily dump their girlfriend. And 14% would grow a mullet in honour of ex-England star Chris Waddle.
Neuropsychologist David Lewis said the reason why fans would give up sex for a year is to be found in a region of the brain called the nucleus accumbens.
"It floods mind and body with 'feel-good' chemicals when we anticipate something pleasurable," he said. "So you could say that fans are giving themselves an intense but perfectly legal high as they anticipate an English victory."
For all those curious Cheryl Cole is the woman in the photo above. Apparently she's an English singer, songwriter, actress, dancer, model, and television personality. Maybe she's like version of Megan Fox or something. But to put an American face on this story I would totally go a year without sex and turn down a night with that chick or Megan Fox for a Nebraska national title in 2010. I've certainly gone lone periods of time without sex but I only have to go six months without football each year. Maybe if sex were that reliable I'd side with it. So take a hike hotties. Seeing the Huskers hoist the crystal ball is the ultimate wet dream.
