Tebow = T Money

Tim Tebow autographs will carry hefty price tag at Jacksonville signing session

If you want Tim Tebow’s autograph, you can get it — for a price.

Tebow will be at Palm Beach Autographs at the Avenues Mall from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, March 6, to sign autographs and pose for photos. The fee is $160, with a large portion of the proceeds going toward the Tim Tebow Foundation, which the organization’s Web site says wants to bring faith and hope to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need.

“It’s a very scary sticker price, but once I say that a portion of the proceeds are going to the Tim Tebow Foundation it kind of softens everyone,” said Martin Buckley, Palm Beach Autographs’ Jacksonville store manager.

Buckley said he’s already had several calls about the signing, including one from a woman who said she was bringing Santa hats and planned on using the photo for a Christmas card. He said another woman told him she was bringing her newborn and was going to use the photo for a birth announcement.

There are 500 autograph tickets and 500 photo tickets available. The photo ticket gets you a photo with Tebow and the 2007 Heisman Trophy, taken by a professional photographer. If you purchase an autograph ticket, you can purchase a photo ticket for an additional $50. Photo tickets alone are $75.

Buckley said he expects tickets to sell out before the event.

Well this isn't exactly the way to start off a relationship with your prospective NFL home. I'm not blasting the Tim Tebow Foundation and I'm sure they do great work but for $160 I better get more than a signed photo and a hug. Couldn't he get some company to donate t-shirts or something. Or maybe he could part water. But I guess I shouldn't blast him. He won't get his contract money for a while and there are foreskins to snip and bibles to pass out in Malaysia. Plus, I can't talk much since my boy Suh is charging $40 a head in Omaha. Straight cash homey!
