I said tow job, not tug job
Callers for free tow directed to porn line
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
CARLSBAD, N.M. (AP) — Oops, wrong number.
Some New Year’s Eve revelers in Carlsbad who had a little too much to drink got a surprise when they called a toll-free number for a free tow home.
Instead of assistance, they got instructions to call a second toll-free number that offered pornographic conversation.
AAA Texas and New Mexico acknowledged the mistake and blamed it on a typographical error. Spokesman Dan Roman apologized to anyone who called the number and wasn’t able to take advantage of the tow offer.
Don't think for one second this was a mistake. I've learned the ins and outs of the criminal justice world and its much more likely that law enforcement had the tow company give out a false number so they could give out DUI tickets. The cops don't give a damn about keeping people safe. They care about meeting their drunk driver quota. Free tows ain't making any money for the city. So enjoy your porn conversation while your in jail or wrapped around a tree.
