Let the Top 25 Countdown Begin!
So I have searched my heart and compiled my Top 25 list for the 2009 College Football Season.
I knew I was going to get a lot of 'where do you have Tech?' so I will just tell yall the Raiders are out of my Top 25. I suck, I know. Live with it. Here's a look at my 'On the Bubble' teams before we get to the nitty gritty.
Just Out
26. Notre Dame - The schedule will definitely help out but the Irish are still unproven. Jimmy Clausen and the game need to win a game against a decent team before they crack my Top 25.
27. Kansas - The Jayhawks have enough offense to easily qualify as the second best team in the North. QB Todd Reesing and receivers Dezmon Briscoe and Kerry Meier are prime time players.
28. Texas Tech - You name it, Tech lost it. But the Raiders will reload on offense behind a good running back corps and a great group of receivers. Starting over on defense will be tougher after the loss of McKenner Dixon and Brandon Williams.
29. Northwestern - I fell in love with the work ethic of this team before the Alamo Bowl. QB Mike Kafka led the team last year while Bacher was out and should step in confidently. DE Corey Wooton has NFL potential.
30. Illinois - The Illini were a Rose Bowl team 2 years ago and the team is better than it played last season. QB Juice Williams, RB Dan Dufrene and WR Regis Benn should lead a revamped squad.
31. TCU - Lost a ton on defense but bring back All-American DE Jerry Hughes. QB Andy Dalton and WR Jimmy Young will lead a solid offense.
P.S. - Since I don't have Temple or Ohio in my Top 25 this video isn't really applicable but I wanted to show it anyway. Plus its my blog.

Wow Bill has lost it
ReplyDeleteHe held it together for a long time. I don't understand why ESPN has some ulterior motive to showcase his insanity.
