I suspect the Monkey Mafia is involved

APB for theft suspect — and he's a monkey
Associated Press

RICHARDSON — Some real monkey business at a Dallas-area store led to the theft of several dozen plants, flowers and small statues.

Surveillance video from Plants & Planters in Richardson shows a monkey appears to be picking up items and returning them to a human accomplice.

Video aired Monday by WFAA-TV shows the small monkey appearing to scoop up plants, flowers and accessories. The animal then hands the items to someone on the other side of a fence.

Owner Shelley Rosenfeld says it’s “really hard to believe a monkey would come over here and do it,” but the creature appears to be the culprit.

Rosenfeld told WFAA says she doesn’t plan to press charges at this time because she thinks the incident is humorous.

I like Rosenfel's approach here. Why press charges? I'd want to get this sort of thing on tape at least 12 more times just to show people at parties.

But the real point of the story is how smart the human robber is. He has someone to do all the leg work while he makes the profit. Plus a monkey makes a perfect partner. If he ever gets pinched he can't rat you out. That doesn't mean I wouldn't interrogate the monkey. You could always try monkey torture. See below.
