EA Okay!
Erin Andrews hit by foul ball; panic at Newsday
newsday.com
ESPN reporter Erin Andrews was struck in the chin by a foul ball at a Mets-Dodgers game at Citi Field on Wednesday night -- news that sent a mini-panic through the Newsday office moments ago.
When the news was announced by a deputy editor, fellow male staffers scurried to the Internet to learn the fate of the pulchritudinous sideline reporter. (One worried staffer asked, "Was it in the face???")
Fortunately, it looks like Erin will be OK.
As if the Mets couldn't be any more disliked than they are right now, it was journeyman infielder Alex Cora who hit the foul liner that struck Andrews in the fourth inning.
You thought you were panicking. The guy at Sports Illustrated.com's Hot Clicks had a gun in his mouth. If she died that's half his daily blog gone. I wouldn't worry about Erin. She has experience with having balls fly at her face but its usually in the Gator Locker room! BOOM!
In other EA news she has been tabbed to "host" the Road to Glory section of the NCAA Football 09 from EA Sports. Good luck EA. The armchair QBs aren't near as hot as Tim Tebow.
