College Football Picks
Winners are bolded
Thursday
Clemson at Georgia Tech -5 1/2
GT should be a pretty good bet in their own house. Jonathan Dwyer continues to show why he's one of the best RBs in the nation and Clemson will have trouble slowing down the triple option.
Saturday
North Carolina -4 1/2 at UCONN
I like the Tarheels this year. Despite the jerk reaction to pick UCONN to bounce back after an unimpressive win against Ohio last week, I think UNC will keep its strong start going.
Iowa -6 1/2 at Iowa State
I'm going to go out on a crazy limb here and pick ISU. The Cyclones looked strong against North Dakota State last week, while Iowa struggled against Northern Iowa. I may be walking into a trap here, but I like ISU and the points.
Notre Dame -3 at Michigan
I like the way Michigan played last week after being in a state of disarray only days before a game against Western Michigan, but I think I like the way Notre Dame played against Nevada more. The Wolvernines defense will test ND's offensive line, but I still like the Irish in this one.
UCLA at Tennessee -9
Don't get me wrong here. I've got the Vols winning the game but I think it will be a barnburner of a game, much like it was last year. I think UCLA stands a chance at pulling the upset because the Vols may be looking ahead. I'd take the points.
Rice at Texas Tech -28
I'm going to give the Red Raiders the benefit of the doubt here and expect them to come out firing on all cylinders against Rice.
USC at Ohio State -7
Call me crazy but I like the Buckeyes here. I know they looked awful against Navy and Barkley looked strong in his debut, but something about this game screams Buckeye win to me.
